App User Data (Privacy) Policy

On this page, "Data User" and "we" refer to each of IFC Development Ltd and International Finance Centre Management Co., Ltd.
Privacy Policy Statement
It is the policy of the Data User to comply with the requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, Chapter 486 of the laws of the Hong Kong SAR ("Ordinance"). In doing so, we will ensure compliance by our staff with the strictest standards of security and confidentiality.
We safeguard all information provided by our App Users ("Users"). We do not collect any personally identifiable information from Users for using the App for pre-log-in browsing. We record their visit only as a 'hit' and make a record of their visit that shows only the Device ID, Domain Name Server address, part of their e-mail address, and App pages visited. We use such information only for preparing general statistics on the usage of our App. We do not use or intend to use the information to personally identify anyone.
In order for us to provide Users with services in the App, we use 'cookies' to store and sometimes track information about Users. The information collected by means of 'cookies' includes Users' login name and his or her navigation pattern. This is done without Users being aware that it is occurring. Generally, we use 'cookies' to estimate the size of our User population; to track Users' number of entries in our promotional activities; to provide merchants with general statistic on traffic to their page on the App or their stores, and to measure Users traffic patterns. Personal Data collected by means of 'cookies' will not be disclosed to any third parties. The App may be initially set up to accept cookies. Users can choose to "not accept" cookies by changing the settings but if they do so, they may find that certain features and functions on the App may not work properly.
ifc may collect Users' personal data in certain situations, including where a User login to his/her account via the App as CLUB ic member or Guest Shopper, or voluntarily submit information for the purpose of registering as Guest Shopper or making enquiries). In such a situation, the App will provide the User with a Personal Information Collection Statement and the User should read the Personal Information Collection Statement carefully before providing his/her personal data to understand how his/her personal data may be used.
We may from time to time send direct marketing materials and promoting products and services to a User using his/her personal data, with his/her consent. Suitable opt-out facilities will be provided to the User.
We take all reasonably practical steps to protect Users' personal data from unauthorized or accidental access, processing, erasure, loss or use.
In order to provide Users with more information and services, we may use third party content providers and service providers, and provide links to other web sites. These third parties may collect Users' personal data when Users visit their web sites or use their services. These third parties apply their own privacy policies and practices in collecting, using and handling of personal data. We are not responsible for the conduct of these third parties and our Privacy Policy Statement does not cover such third-party activities and practices.

The Data User, in complying with the requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, Chapter 486 of the laws of the Hong Kong SAR ("Ordinance"), is committed to safeguarding your privacy on-line, and notify you of certain matters relating to the collection and use of your personal data. This statement may change from time to time, so please check back periodically.
Collection of DataAt the time of installation and at other times when using this App, you may be asked to provide us with your personal data including your name, e-mail address and mobile phone number. You may also be asked to provide your vehicle plate number, Octopus or Credit Card details for the registration for Contactless Parking. It is necessary for us to collect your personal data for providing you with the various services and activities offered on this App. You are not obliged to supply the data, but if you fail to provide the data requested, we may not be able to provide you with the services and activities available on this App.
Purpose and Use of DataWe may use your personal data for the following purposes:
- to manage this App and to monitor its use;
- to provide services, features and functions on or through this App and to help further development of this App;
- to compile statistics about users of this App and to analyze usage;
- to verify identity of Users and to maintain contact lists for correspondence;
- to operate internal control, handle enquiries or complaints, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems and enforce the terms governing the use of this App;
- to verify vehicle plate number, Octopus or Credit Card details for Contactless Parking registration.
- subject to your consent, to deliver information to you that we believe you may have interest in, such as targeted banners, new services and products and other promotions and marketing materials; and
- to contact you regarding administrative notices and communications relevant to your use of this App.
Personal data of Users of this App held by us will be kept confidential but we may provide the personal data to the following persons (whether within or outside Hong Kong) for the purposes set out in the "Purpose and Use of Data" section above:
- our parent or controlling company and any of its subsidiaries and associated companies, and any entity controlled by it or any of its subsidiaries or associated companies from time to time (collectively, the "Group");
- any agents, contractors, third party suppliers or service providers who provide administrative, insurance, telecommunications, information technology, computer, data processing, contents provision, marketing support or other services to support our business operation (including the operation of this App), or facilitate the provision of this App and any services, features and functions relating to this App;
- any person to whom we are or any other Group member is under an obligation or is otherwise expected to make disclosure according to any law, regulations, codes of conduct or guidelines applicable to us or any other Group member; and
- any person who owes a duty of confidentiality to us or any other Group member, including any accountants, auditors, legal advisers or other professional advisers.
